Seven Killed In Punjab Rain-Related Incidents

Three people were killed and 13 injured as roof of a workshop collapsed in Nain Sukh Chowk near Sagian Bridge. Some people are feared to be buried under the debris. The boundary wall of a truck terminal collapsed at Nainsukh Chowk in Ferozwala, over sleeping labourers during the downpour.

Rescue 1122 workers retrieved three dead bodies of the workers beneath the wall debris, while several injured were admitted at hospitals. Five injured of the incident said to be in precarious condition. At least seven people were killed and 23 hurt in rain related incidents across Punjab.

Three people lost lives in Lahore and four in Sahiwal. On the other hand, 3 persons of a same family were killed while 4 injured as roof of an old house collapsed in Gajumata area of Kahna.

The rainfall and the winds have also affected the power supply in the area. The Meteorological department has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of thunderstorm in the provincial capital during the next 24 hours.
